The Rookery
Queen Bed Room with writing a writing desk, sectional sofa and private bathroom
Located on the second floor of the Inn, The Rookery is a Deluxe Queen room swathed in shades of sage green and trimmed with historic cinnabar wallpaper. The room features a Queen-sized bed, hand-painted wardrobe, writing desk, and lounge seating sheathed in fabric the color of a rich and juicy jam. The Rookery once offered shelter to the namesake of Raven Hall—an unkindness of ravens. The large colony, which gathered to breed on the grounds of the estate, was often seen swooping over the village at all hours of the day. But when Cecil Plunkett purchased Raven Hall, he boarded up the room and did away with the birds—how, he hasn’t said. But rumors abound—and some of the household staff at Raven Hall have reported hearing birds crying and wings beating whenever they walk by the old Rookery.
